Brian J. Nelson, a Catholic composer, member of the St. Lawrence Center, and doctoral student at the KU School of Music will be giving a full-scale concert of his music on:
Sunday, March 7, 3pm at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, KS.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature many sacred works, as well as chamber music and other pieces. Featured performers will include members of the St. Lawrence Center Choir, KU Chamber Choir, Benedictine College Chamber singers, Allégrese Trio, Tami Lee Hughes – Violin, Matthew Herren – Cello, and Ellen Bottorff – Piano. The recital will also serve as a CD release concert for Brian’s new recording entitled Vocalise, which will feature many of the same pieces and performers.
